Through our innovative design, countless of hours of testing on and off the water we have perfected the swimming action in the Hypertension Lures.

The Hookshift technology will only deploy when tension is put anywhere on the lure and reset once the tension releases.

The Hookshift technology, jets and line protection will only work when used simultaneously. You cannot use the Hookshift technology on a normal head or skirted lure.

Our patented Hookshift technology will increase the hook up rate on any pelagic species of fish such as Marlin, Mahi-Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo and Spanish Mackerel.

Like every other lure Hypertension will at some point need to be re-rigged when the leader or hook gets too worn after catching fish.

Rigging Hypertension is not as complicated as it might seem and it is something you should practice on and off the water. For detailed instructions please head over to our YouTube channel and watch the rigging tutorial.

If you don’t feel comfortable rigging a Hypertension lure we also sell ready made rigs which you can swap out directly with your lure using a standard crimp.

Handy tip: Why don’t you rig a few spares prior to heading out on the water in the event that you catch a fish? The Hookshift technology and Line Armour can easily be changed using a crimp.

After each use it’s important to wash your Hypertension lure and Hookshift tube. The tube can easily be taken out and washed which will ensure it works for many years to come. To learn more please head over to our YouTube channel for caring and maintenance instructions.

All our lures including the line armour are made out of durable premium filament ensuring the lure swims and presents well for many years to come.

All our lures come rigged with FUDO hooks and Momoi Hi-Catch leader but you are of course welcome to run the hook and leader
of your choice.

Yes, if not cared for properly or washed after use the Hookshift technology will eventually fail due to the build up of salt.

At the moment we have a range of 5 different heads and sizes ranging from 7,5” - 12”. We are developing more lures and shapes to suit a wider range of fishing and conditions.

During testing in 2024, the hook-up rate on Striped Marlin and Tuna was greater than 50%.
