Hypertension's hookshift is designed to optimise hook exposure through its innovative rigid hookset shaping. This unique design maintains flexibility for optimum lure action, however curls into a rigid state upon fish strike—maximising hook-up potential. If the lure is released, the hookset automatically returns to its flexible state, allowing the lure to keep swimming, ready for the next bite.

Eliminating the need for heat shrink*, Control Sleeves act as both a hook positioner in conjunction with the Hyper-inserts and provide crucial line protection against abrasion near the fish’s mouth during prolonged fights. High durability means you can often catch many fish with a single sleeve. Steel trace still required for fish with razor-edge teeth.

We have integrated the Hyper-Inserts to allow for precise On/Off control of the lure jets, providing anglers with a choice of settings based on their preferences for running position, water conditions, and desired lure action. Simply rotate the insert to your preferred setting. Hyper-Inserts are easy to remove for cleaning and replacement when needed, and can be found in the Replacement parts section.
